Troubleshooting: When I run a report, it comes up blank or grayed out!

The first step is to make sure Crystal reports is installed on the computer you are using. Click on the link Download Crystal Report Viewer at the bottom of the Custom Report Generator. The Crystal Report viewer will prompt you to auto-install when attempting to view reports that utilize it.

Some reasons Crystal Reports has not been installed:

  • Are you using a strange browser like AOL or Firefox? Crystal Reports will not install using these browsers. You must user Internet Explorer for Crystal Reports to work. Please check System Requirements for more information.

  • You have a Firewall or other security in place than prevents Crystal Reports from installing. Talk to your network administrator to find out how to get around these areas in order to install this software.

  • You are not an administrator on your system. If you do not have administrator privileges, you may not be able to install software on your computer.

  • The install failed. Try reinstalling.

If Crystal Reports is installed and you run a report that comes up blank, it means that there is a Crystal Reports problem.  In most cases, these can be resolved by logging out and logging back in, as Crystal sessions are based on the cookie sessions your browser has with our server. Renewing that connection usually resolves the problem.

If you're running a report, and it seems to start but then - nothing happens?
