The new Aristotle Advocacy has arrived!   Aristotle Advocacy has a new modern look and provides greater interactivity. The new version supports even greater customization through custom CSS Files that will further tailor your advocates’ experience.

As part of this free upgrade you will now have the ability to promote alerts within the Header area.  One or more Alert pages may be configured to display within the header area.

You may also display your alerts on the Action Center List page in a grid or traditional list view. The Action Center is set to list view by default.

Lastly, the videos will play in thumbnail view to encourage advocates to click Alert and take action.

Header Slider Treatment:

The Header Slider Treatment, when enabled will rotate a Header image and subsequent banner image(s) associated to the Action Alert(s).  The order presented is based on the Header image showing first and then based on Alert Publish Order.

To configure your Header treatment (slider on/off) and default list view we have made changes to the Action Center Settings page.

Adding an Alert Slider to Header Area

To better promote an issue alert, an admin may wish to create and publish a slider image that will slide within the header area of Action Center.  At least one Alert must be configured as a slider for effect to be expressed.

The Slider image will display the following:

  1. Alert specific Slider Image
  2. Alert Title – Shows published Alert Title
  3. Message – It will show several lines of the Published “Message to be Displayed to Advocates” created within the Action Alert Wizard.
  4. Read More button – Selecting the “Read More” button, regardless of login status will open up the selected alert.

After enabling the Header Slider feature within Action Center Settings Admin will complete these steps.

  1. Store image within Repository within the Legislative Alerts image folder.  The image must have an aspect ratio of 3:1.
  2. Go to Action Center Alert Wizard within the Advanced Options then Videos and Images.
  3. Navigate to Action Center Default Display: Grid or List View of Available Alerts and select “Choose From Existing Image” button within the Choose a Slide image for the list of alert page.
    1. Select Image from Repository within the Legislative Images folder
    2. To remove Slider Image, click Remove Displayed Slider Image
  4. Save
  5. Publish

When viewing alert the Header and Slider (Alert) Images will rotate approximately every 7 seconds.

Action Center View (Default List/Grid):

To set how your alerts display, by default, on the Action Center Page you will set preference within the Action Center Settings page.  Please note that the application by default presents your Alert(s) in the traditional list view.   Also – the advocate may toggle between List/Grid view based on their preference using the graphical toggle within the Action Center page.

To change Action Slider default view please follow these steps:

  1. Action Center Setting – Under Settings navigate to Action Center Settings
  2. Select Grid to show Grid Images
  3. Save

*Note – The thumbnail image shown within the list AND grid view populate from Action Center Alert Wizard within the Advanced Options then Videos and Images. Admin can display a YouTube video or static image/infographic as shown below.
