FireFox Version 26 (or Higher) - How to Change the Browser's 5-Minute Time Out

  1. Open Firefox & type about:config in the address bar then press Enter.
  2. Click on the 'I'll be careful, I promise' button.
  3. Type timeout in the search box and network.http.response.timeout parameter will be displayed.
  4. Double click on the network.http.response.timeout parameter & enter the time value in the box (it is in seconds) that you do not want your session to timeout.

We recommend typing '1200' into the box since 1200 seconds would be 20 minutes.
