The new Aristotle Advocacy will promote a new user interface, ability to have header slider images, redesign advocacy workflow, and new Grid view of the alert list.

We will be pushing out changes related to the following areas of the application:

Aristotle Advocacy – You will note changes to the Action Center Settings page and Aristotle Advocacy setup Wizard necessary to support Header Slider functionality.

Organization Merge – You can now completely merge one or more organizations into another Organization.  During merge all receipts, disbursements, pledges, and groups.

Aristotle Advocacy

Action Center Settings Page

A new Aristotle Advocacy is coming in January 2019.   We are redesigning the application to support a new modern look and provide greater interactivity. As part of this free upgrade you will now have the ability to promote alerts within the Header area.  One or more Alert pages may be configured with a dedicated banner image that will rotate/slide within the header area.  Also, you may display your alerts on the Action Center List page in a grid or traditional list view.

Header Slider Treatment:

The Header Slider Treatment, when enabled, will rotate a Header image and subsequent banner image(s) associated to the Action Alert(s).  The order presented is based on the Header image showing first and then alerts based on Publish Order.

To configure your Header treatment (slider on/off) and default grid view we have made changes to the Action Center Settings page.

To enable Slider Images feature within your header, please follow these steps:

  1. Action Center Setting – Under Settings navigate to Action Center Settings
  2. Add a Master Header Image to the repository within the Legislative Alert Images folder. Image must maintain an aspect ratio of 2:1.
  3. Select Slider in Action Center Header Option – Admin has ability to select Fixed (Traditional) or Slider. Once image is select it will serve as the first image displayed to advocates within header.
  4. Save

*Note – Slider images associated with your Action Alerts are managed within each Alert.

Adding an Alert Slider to Header Area

To better promote an issue alert, an admin may wish to create and publish a slider image that will slide within the header area of Action Center.  At least one Alert must be configured as a slider for effect to be expressed.

The Slider image will display the following:

  1. Alert specific Slider Image
  2. Alert Title – Shows published Alert Title
  3. Message – It will show several lines of the Published “Message to be Displayed to Advocates” created within the Action Alert Wizard.
  4. Read More button – Selecting the “Read More” button, regardless of login status will open up the selected alert.

After enabling the Header Slider feature within Action Center Settings Admin will complete these steps.

  1. Store image within Repository within the Legislative Alerts image folder.  The image must have an aspect ratio of 2:1.
  2. Go to Action Center Alert Wizard within the Advanced Options then Videos and Images.
  3. Navigate to Action Center Default Display: Grid or List View of Available Alerts and select “Choose From Existing Image” button within the Choose a Slide image for the list of alert page.
    1. Select Image from Repository within the Legislative Images folder
    2. To remove Slider Image, click Remove Displayed Slider Image
  4. Save
  5. Publish

When viewing alert the Header and Slider (Alert) Images will rotate approximately every 7 seconds.

Action Center View (Default List/Grid):

To set how your alerts display, by default, on the Action Center Page you will set preference within the Action Center Settings page.  Please note that the application by default presents your Alert(s) in the traditional list view.   Also – the advocate may toggle between List/Grid view based on their preference using the graphical toggle within the Action Center page.

To change Action Slider default view please follow these steps:

To change Action Slider default view please follow these steps:

  1. Action Center Setting – Under Settings navigate to Action Center Settings
  2. Select Grid to show Grid Images
  3. Save

*Note – The thumbnail image shown within the list AND grid view populate from Action Center Alert Wizard within the Advanced Options then Videos and Images. Admin can display a YouTube video or static image/infographic as shown below.

Please note these options will be available in Sprint 100 on the Admin side so you may configure these changes prior to the release of the Advocate facing Action Center available in January (Sprint 101).

You can test this new experience by adding /?beta=true#/ after the For Example:  The beta version will have some UI related bugs but should provide an overall understanding of the direction.

State Conduit Management

Void Transaction Handling

The new State Conduit Management App provides a single place to create state conduit disbursements, manage individual available receipt balances, allocate individual receipts and create all necessary compliance reports.

This enhancement will vary from the standard manual entry method when Voiding/Reversing State Conduit disbursement transaction and will show 1) Original Transaction will be Maintained 2) A Void Transaction will be Created with Date representing date of Void and 3) Individual Offsets will be added to Individual’s Receipt transactions.

Organization Merge

Merging Organization with Aristotle 360

Aristotle 360 has improved merging Organization Records.  The new method will allow users to select Organization records to be merged into a primary or retained record, regardless of Company Location status.   The Admin will select records as they have traditionally done but now the secondary record will be merged into Retained Record without limitation to their Merged record’s location. Previously, the merged record would be added as a company location which created confusion for some users.
